Arieta's eyes grew colder. 'I did have a terrible childhood thank you very much!' she screamed in her head. "I'm sorry for being a bit nasty myself, I really have no trust in humans." she said, a bit bluntly.

"No. Really? I thought you loved and trusted humans," said Michael sarcastic. He grinned at Arieta and held his hand out to her. "Let's start over. I'm Michael. It's a pleasure," he said. He doubted that she was going to be friendly with him but he hated bad beginnings. They usually lead to unhappy endings.

Ari found herself a bit charmed by the sarcasm, she loved to use it and found it very interesting when someone was able to wield it back. True it had been a weak comment, but it was a start. Smiling just a bit, she took the hand lightly. "Arieta, nice to meet you as well."

"Don't have a firm grip I see. That's ok," said Michael. He had a firm grip when he shook her hand. It was a sign of respect. He let go of her hand and smiled. He smiled because she did. She had a good smile.
"You should smile more Arieta," said Michael. He crossed his arms arcoss his chest. He was fit for someone who was only human.

Ari felt a blush heat her cheeks as he said this about her smile. "Thank you, but usually I don't have much to smile about." she said softly.

"That really is a shame. Maybe you'll smile more from now on. I surely hope so. Do you know how many patients are here so far? Patients I really hate to use that word," said Michael. The word made him think of hospitals. He never like being in a hosptial. He remember saying as a child that he thought hospital felt lonely and sad. It was still true to him now as it was then. He ran his fingers through his shorter hair.
