Michael smiled staring back into her violet eyes. How unique of an eye color was his thought. He turned away and looked down at the keys before. He thought about what he could play. He remembered hearing a song he liked alot. Into the West was the song. It was a newer song unlike the one he just played.
Michael began to play again. This song was just as soft as the last. It had a meloncholy feel to it as well. He played each note and thought about the words. He began to sing as he played. He had rich and deep voice singing voice.
"Lay down your sweet and weary head. Night is failing. You have come to journey's end. Sleep now. Dream- of the who came before. They are calling from across a distant shore," sang Michael. He stopped and just played the piano.

Arieta listened and felt a bit sleepy as the music lulled her. Michael's voice wasn't bad either, soothing in a way. Ari listened as he continued to play, her head nodding slowly along. "You play well, how can you say I surpass you?" she murmured, half from being tired. How was she having an actual conversation with him though? Shouldn't he be telling her to go to bed, or something?

"How can I? Easily," said Michael with a soft chuckle. He looked over to her as he played. He saw how she was growing tired. This song was like a lullaby as well. He finished playing the song and closed the lid gently. He turned himself facing. He leaned his arm on the piano smiling.
"You look tired Arieta. You're not going to fall asleep on me. If you did, I would have to carry to your room. People will talk," said Michael in a slightly joking manner. He gave her a simple smirk.

Ari smiled as she leaned on the piano with one elbow. "Probably not Michael, most of my peers know my dislike of humans, they would only assume I had been drugged again. But now that you've stopped playing I'm not as tired." she said, true enough her voice was stronger. The letter had fallen out of her back pocket, though she had not noticed.

"Who knows really? They might think my killer looks and charm changed your mind about humans," said Michael laughing. He didn't think himself as a very charming guy and not that good looking. A joke was a joke after all. He saw the letter fall from her pocket. He smiled as he got up and picked it up. He held it out for her to take.
"This fell. You should be more careful with your letters. You don't want me reading them now," said Michael with a sweet smile. He hoped he didn't make her mad. He forgot about his dagger and he hadn't her the letter with his right hand.

Ari laughed a slightly at his comment and moved closer, her eyes flashing in a teasing manner. "Ya, I'm madly in love with you." she whispered, one finger moving over his bare shoulder, but backing up suddenly as she watched him hand her the letter. Taking it slowly, she crushed it in her fist and let dark energy consume it until the paper was gone. "You're right, I wouldn't want you reading that letter." she said softly, the tease gone from her voice, she was serious about this.

"Don't worry Arieta. I would never read anything that was pritively yours. Some might but I would never," said Michael. He smiled at her. His dark eyes told her that he meant it. He was a terrible lier so even if he tried lieing to her. Arieta would know.
Michael went and sat down at the piano bench again. He didn't realize till then but Arieta touched him. He didn't think she would even dare touch him. He was human afterall.

Ari felt a surge of anger well up inside her as he was calm about the whole matter. He was so different it made her almost upset, why was being so nice? Moving over and sitting beside him, Ari turned herself so she was looking in his eyes, her own a bit stormy. "Why are you being such a gentlemen to me, why are you not lieing and going threw my personal affects? What are you up to?" she asked, though the last sentence was about a whisper. She was afraid of the answer. What if he was up to nothing and he was simply being nice? How could she react to a human being that way towards her, it was all so confusing.

"I raised up to be a gentleman. I always told to respect people and their private. The only thing I'm up to is helping my half sister and making you smile," said Michael. He stared back into her violet eyes. He thought they were beautiful. He was sure he was scaring her with his kindness. Who made her distrust humans so?

"Humans are never nice unless they want something from you, or are planning to use you for something. Why should I trust you? Humans I've trusted have done nothing but hurt me. In more ways then one." Arieta whispered at the end, a quivering sigh escaping her. Tears misted over her eyes, turning them a light lavender color. She started to shiver, even though she wasn't cold, wishing she'd worn more then a tank top and jeans.

"Stop stating your opinion as if it was fact. Man- kind is not known for its kindness. Humans fears what they doesn't understand. I fear nothing here. I haven't given you any reason to trust me, but I also haven't given you any reason not to," said Michael. His eyes looked at Arieta. He saw her eyes tear up. Her past held terrible memories that he could see. He stood up and walked over to her. He stood in front of her.

Wrapping her arms around herself, Ari couldn't bring herself to look Michael in his eyes. "I know you've done nothing, but have you ever heard that when something terrible happens to a person, they forever have a fear of that thing. Some people get bitten by dogs, some are burned by fire. I was, well, it doesn't matter, but I have my reasons. I'm sorry I'm doing this to you, but you have to understand, my childhood wasn't like yours and Rose's. I didn't know my Dad, I had a Step-Father, and he was awful." Arieta couldn't help it, she started to cry in the presence of a human.

"My childhood wasn't the greatest either but it wasn't terrible. My mother died when I was very young and the woman saw as my mother left me and Rose. I was raised by a nanny and my father," said Michael," hasn't been the same since Rose's mother lefted." He looked Arieta and saw her crying. He hated to see someone crying. He brushed away Arieta's tears away. He wanted to hold her and comfort her but he didn't think Arieta would like that.

Arieta couldn't help it, he cared and that was too much. In half way to a fit, she threw her arms around him, though she wasn't sure why. His skin felt warm underneath her and she realized she was cold, her tears spilled over and landed on his skin.

Michael was surprised when Arieta wrapped her arms around him. He smiled slightly and held her tight against him. He felt how cold she was and the tears she cried. He ran his hand along her back in a soothing manner. He was fine with her crying all over him. He rested his chin on top of her head.
"It's ok Arieta. You're safe. Nothing is going to happen you. I promise to be here for you," said Michael softly. His voice was rich with comfort as he spoke. He wanted to there for people. All kinds of people.
